Issue description
You edit your zone stamp settings and see the changes in the preview window, but when you click OK, the changes are not reflected in the floor plan.
Solution
This problem occurs because you are likely editing the Zone Stamp settings while your project is actually displaying Zone Labels instead. These are two separate systems that function independently.
Since version 25, new projects have Zone Stamp display turned off by default and use Zone Labels instead. Zone Labels are placed using the Label Tool and are separate elements from the Zone Stamp.
Identifying which system you are using
-
For Zone Stamps: look for a small cross and dot symbol (reference point) within the zone polygon. Zone Stamps will have selection nodes around them when selected.
-
For Zone Labels: these appear as separate label elements with pointer lines or text boxes that can be selected independently of the zone.
If you want to use Zone Stamps
- Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options
- Open the Construction Element Options panel
- Check Show Zone Stamp
- Click OK
- Your Zone Stamp settings will now be visible and your changes will appear
If you want to continue using Zone Labels
- Select the existing Zone Label (not the zone itself)
- Go to Label Settings or use the Info Box
- Under Symbol Label Custom Settings, expand Content
- Modify the displayed information such as measured area, zone name, or zone number
- Click OK to apply changes
