Issue description
After undocking the 3D window from the tab bar, the Dock Window option is missing from the Window menu, making it impossible to return the 3D view to its original docked position.
Solution
The Dock Window command is not included in the default Windows menu in some Archicad versions or custom Work Environments. If this issue occurs ,the command needs to be manually added to your menu structure through the Work Environment settings.
- Go to Options > Work Environment.
- Select Menus from the left panel to access the menu customization dialog box.
- In the Commands and Menus section on the left side, select All commands in alphabetical order from the dropdown list.
- Type dock in the search field to locate the Dock/Undock Tab command
- From the Create or Edit Menu dropdown on the right side, select Window menu.
- Click Add Selected on the bottom or drag the Dock Window 3D command from the left panel to the desired position in the Window menu content list on the right
- Click OK to apply the changes.
- Activate your undocked 3D window by clicking on it to make it the active window.
- Go to the Window menu and select the newly added Dock Window 3D command. The 3D window will now be docked back to the tab bar.
Alternative Method (Mac Only)
If you're using a Mac, you can also use the Dock All Windows command which can be added to the Window menu using the same procedure described above.
