Issue Description
You want to publish PDF documents where all pen set line weights appear in hairline thickness instead of their defined pen weights without having to save a separate pen set for exporting.
Solution
PDF output uses the defined pen weights from your penset by default. When you want all lines to appear as hairline thickness in the PDF output, you need to adjust settings in the Document Options dialog box.
Method 1: Using File Save As
- Open the view or layout you want to publish as PDF.
- Go to File > Save As.
- Select PDF as the file format from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Document Options button.
- Check the Hairline option.
- Click OK to close the Document Options dialog
- Enter your filename and click Save.
Method 2: Using the Publisher
- Open the Publisher from the Navigator/Organizer.
- Select or create a publisher set for your PDF output.
- Right-click and go to Publishing Properties.
- Ensure the publishing method is set to Save files and format is set to PDF
- Close the Publishing properties dialog.
-
In the Publisher, under the listed sheets, expand the Format tab and click on Document Options...
- Check the Hairline option.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- Add your layouts or views to the publisher set.
- Click Publish to generate the PDF with hairline pen weights.
