Issue description
Selection does not behave as expected across all element types. Elements can only be selected by their nodes or corner points. Double-clicking text elements or labels does not activate the text editing interface. The element remains selected but shows no cursor or text field for modifications. This occurs consistently across all view modes and project files, regardless of element type or placement.
Solution
Enable Quick Selection for Direct Editing
- Activate the Arrow tool from the Toolbox
- Locate the magnet icon in the Info Box panel at the top left of the interface
- Click the magnet icon until it displays a highlighted state, confirming Quick Selection activation
- Double-click any text element or label to verify editing mode engagement
Temporary Quick Selection
- Hold the spacebar while Quick Selection is disabled
- Double-click the target text element during keypress
- Release spacebar after entering edit mode
