Why are distance guides not visible in Archicad?

Issue description

Distance guides do not appear when placing or adjusting elements like walls, beams, columns, or openings. This absence hinders precise alignment and spatial coordination, as you need dynamic measurement indicators to aid in element input or editing are needed. Or you would simply like to know how to toggle them on and off.

Solution

Distance guides are now a standard feature starting from Archicad 28, no longer requiring activation as an experimental feature. To enable and configure them:

A. Toggle distance guides visibility:

1. Open the View menu from the top navigation bar.
2. Select Distance Guides to toggle visibility.

B. Check display settings if the Distance Guides option is missing:

1. Navigate to Options > Work Environment > Tracker and Coordinate Input.
2. Ensure the Distance Guides checkbox is active under Display On-Screen Guides
