How to chamfer a landing of an existing staircase?

Issue description

The enclosing wall of an existing staircase has been chamfered in the landing area. Is there a way to make the stairs’ landing chamfered as well?

Solution

To chamfer the landing of a staircase, you need to enter Stairs’ Boundary Selection. To do this:

1. Select the stair.
2. Change the selection mode to Boundary Selection. You can toggle between the two types of selection, Boundary Selection and Baseline Selection, by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard while hovering over the edge of the stair with your cursor. 
   
3. With the Boundary selected:

  • Add a node in the landing to follow the corners of the wall.
  • Or use the Chamfer command in the pet palette.
