Why Are Some Regional Specific Objects Missing in Archicad 28 Library Packs? Add the Archicad Legacy Library!

Issue Identification:

After switching to the Global Library in Archicad 28, you may notice that certain objects are missing from your library. These include, but are not limited to Graphic Scale_NCS, NCS Drawing Title, Section Part Marker_NCS, 2D detailer library, etc.

Cause of the Issue:

With the transition to the Global Library in Archicad 28, some older objects were removed from the default library to streamline content. To ensure continued access, these objects have been moved to a separate library file called “Archicad Legacy Objects”.

Solution:

To access these objects, follow the steps below:

1. Open Library Manager in Archicad.
2. Click Add and navigate to the following file path:
   • ~/Graphisoft/Archicad 28/Archicad Legacy Objects/Archicad Legacy Objects USA.lcf
3. Select the Archicad Legacy Objects USA.lcf file and load it into your project.
4. After adding the legacy library, the previously missing objects should be available for use.
