Issue Description
When using the Marquee Tool in Archicad, elements are not being copied or moved across multiple stories.
Solution
This problem may occur if the Marquee selection method is set to single story selection (thin line icon) instead of all floors (thick line icon).
Additionally, using the Select All command (Ctrl/Cmd + A) after placing the Marquee, limits the selection to only active elements visible in the current View.
Follow these steps to use the correct Marquee and selection Methods:
- Ensure the Marquee selection method is set to all floors:
- Select the Marquee Tool from the toolbar.
- In the Info Box, click the thick line icon to set the Marquee to all floors.
- Avoid using Select All after placing the Marquee:
- Place the Marquee around the elements you want to move or copy.
- Do not use the Select All command.
- Simply use the Copy, or Drag, or any other Move command to move or copy the elements within the Marquee.
- If you have successfully copied elements across multiple stories you will get an information box confirming the creation of elements that belong to other stories.
- Click Continue to confirm the changes.
