Issue Description
While reviewing a schedule in Archicad, an unexpected element (such as a door) appears in the list, but its exact location on the Floor Plan is unclear. Searching for it manually could be time-consuming, especially in large projects with multiple floors and similar elements.
Is there a way to quickly pinpoint this element directly from the Schedule?
Solution
Archicad provides a built-in feature that allows users to locate elements from the Schedule in the Floor Plan without manually searching for them.
The command Select on Floor Plan can found at the top of your Schedule's window.
When an item is selected in the schedule, and this button is clicked, Archicad will automatically navigate to the element’s location in the Floor Plan, ensuring that it is visible and highlighted.
This function is useful when dealing with missing, mislabeled, or duplicated elements in a complex model. Instead of manually inspecting each floor or zooming in and out to find the object, this feature helps streamline the process.
TIP: If a 3D view is preferred, use the Select in 3D button, which is positioned next to the Select on Floor Plan button. This option highlights the element in the 3D window for better visualization.
