Issue Description:
In the 3D view, all railings in the project appear as simplified single-plane elements instead of their intended detailed design. Despite verifying the railing settings, the issue persists. Why is this happening, and how can the railings be displayed correctly in 3D?
Solution:
This behavior is because the Model View Options of the Railing is set to Schematic. To change to a Detailed View,
-
Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options…
- In the Model View Options, select the Model View Combination (or you can create New).
- Expand the Railing Options tab
- Under Railing 3D and Section/Elevation, set to Full.
-
Click OK to Save.
TIP: If all railing components are visible but appear in a different material (e.g., glass), a different setting may be affecting the display. You can refer to the article for more details: Railing shows only in Glass?
