Issue Description
When placing dimensions on walls, the Dimension Tool includes the core skins of composite walls, resulting in a crowded dimension string. Is there a way to disable this feature and focus on the wall's outer faces?
Solution
The Dimension Tool's behavior for composite walls can be customized in the Dimension Selection Settings. To disable dimensioning of core skins and simplify your dimension strings:
- Go to Dimension Selection Settings.
- In the Dimension Details tab, under “Automatically dimension Walls and Slabs”, uncheck “Core Faces” and “Reference lines”, leaving “Outer Faces” only checked. This will make the dimension to attach to the outer face of the wall only.
By applying these changes, the dimensions will focus on the external boundaries of the walls, eliminating unnecessary details and creating a cleaner, more organized dimension string.
