Issue Description
In your project, you may wish to indicate insulation using the line tool at varying thicknesses. Is this achievable?
Solution
You can use custom line types to show lines indicating insulation of different thicknesses in one Archicad drawing.
Creating Custom Line Types for Different Insulation Thicknesses
Firstly, draw the stencil on a Floor Plan Viewpoint or in another window, using Lines, Arcs, and Hotspots.
Draw one unit of it that will be repeated along the line. Draw it in the size you want it to display on your plans and drawings. Select and copy all components of the stencil.
- Go to Options > Element Attributes > Line Types.
- Click New to create a new line type.
- Choose Symbol Line Type to include a pattern representing the insulation.
- Click on Paste into Pattern.
- Set the Dash length - this is the length of the unit.
- Set the Gap length - this is the size of the gap in between units.
- Name the line type appropriately (e.g., "Insulation 50mm" or "Insulation 100mm").
- Repeat the process for other insulation thicknesses.
