IFC export warning: Some elements have building materials that do not participate in collision detection

Issue Description 

When attempting to export an IFC, a notification states, Some elements have Building Materials that do not participate in Collision Detection, and the export process fails.

Solution

To resolve the error when exporting in Archicad, follow these steps:

1. Open the export Translator settings.  File > Interoperability > IFC >IFC Translators...
2. Navigate to Geometry Conversion options.

3. Uncheck the box labeled Export only geometries which Participate in Collision Detection.

   

4. Go to Options > Attributes > Building Materials and look for the specific materials causing the issue.

5. Ensure the option Participates in Collision Detection is enabled.

   

6. Click OK and retry the IFC export.
