Issue Description
As the project transitions from the Schematic Design Phase to the Detailed Design Phase, it's crucial to refine the presentation of floor plans to reflect the higher level of detail expected in this stage. This includes enhancing the representation of Doors and Windows in the floor plan to provide a more accurate depiction of their design and functionality.
Solution
The detail level of Doors and Windows on floor plans is managed using Model View Options in Archicad. Follow these steps to modify the settings and enhance their appearance:
Open the Model View Options:
Navigate to Document > Model View > Model View Options.
TIP: Always be careful when modifying the settings of a Model View Option as it may affect other views.
Create a new Model View Combination before proceeding to avoid conflicts with other plans.
Adjust the Detail Level for Door, Window, and Skylight Symbols:
- Within the Model View Options dialog, locate the section labeled Detail level of Door, Window, and Skylight Symbols.
- Set the following options for better clarity and detail:
- Door Floor Plan Symbol: Select Full-Opened Leaf to show the door leaf in its open position.
- Window Floor Plan Symbol: Choose Full-with Double Glazing Line to represent window frames and glazing lines accurately.
Save the Changes:
- Click OK to apply and save the adjustments.
