How to publish selected layouts to a BIMx file?

Is there a way to export only selected layouts to a BIMx file?

Solution

To publish selected layouts to a BIMx file, start by creating a dedicated Publisher Set specifically for the BIMx. This allows you to organize and manage the selected layouts efficiently for export.

Create a New Publisher Set:

1. In the Navigator, go to the Publisher Sets tab.
2. If you don’t see the Navigator at all: Go to Window > Palettes > Navigator to turn it back on.
3. Click the (+) icon to add a new publisher set.
4. Name the set appropriately for easy identification.

Modify the Publishing Properties:

5. Open the Publishing Properties for the new publisher set.
6. Ensure the option "Create a single file" is selected.
7. Under the Format section, choose BIMx Hyper-model.
8. Click OK to save the changes.

Add Layout Sheets:

9. Use the Organizer to add the required layout sheets to the new publisher set.
10. Drag and drop the desired layouts from the Layout Book to the publisher set.
11. In the publisher set, set the Publish Items option to "Selected items". This ensures only the selected layouts will be included.

Publish as BIMx:

12. With the desired layouts added and selected, click Publish to generate the BIMx file.
