Issue Description
Depending on your Archicad localization, you may have access to online templates (please check availability with your local partner).
You might experience that online templates are missing from the template list.
Affected versions: Archicad 28 and 29
Solution
These templates can be downloaded if users are unable to access these through the New Project dialog.
Online templates can also be downloaded via the GRAPHISOFT Downloads website.
Once a template has been downloaded, you can apply it in the New Project dialog. This can be accessed by the File > New > New... menu path. Select the Template drop-down menu, click Browse Template... and select the template that has been downloaded.
Alternatively, this issue could be caused by a network connection Issue. This is how you can check and fix:
On Windows:
- Open the Registry Editor.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\GRAPHISOFT\<Archicad version>\Online Hosted Templates.
On macOS:
- Open the Prefs Editor application (or any other app that can open and edit .plist files).
- Select your used Archicad version from the list of applications, e.g. com.graphisoft.AC-ARM 28.0.0 INT v1.
- Navigate to the Online Hosted Templates key.
There you should find an httpRequest key containing a web link, copy the Value Data and check the result by pasting the link into the web browser. The link can be copied by double-clicking on httpRequest and accessing the Edit String dialog.
If the computer has no issues reaching this site, you should see a result similar to the one below:
If you receive an error (such as 500 Bad Request), there must be a network configuration issue. Please ensure that https://redirect.graphisoft.com is whitelisted in the antivirus/proxy settings.
