Issue Description
While dimensioning a slanted wall in the Floor Plan view, the dimensions are locked to the wall's X and Y axes, preventing measurements parallel to the wall itself. How can this be adjusted so dimensions are not restricted to orthogonal directions?
Solution
This issue occurs because the Geometry Method for the Dimension tool is set to X-Y only.
- Select the Dimension Tool:
Ensure the Dimension tool is active. - Adjust the Geometry Method:
- In the Info Box, locate the Geometry Method option.
- Change the setting from X-Y only to Any Direction.
- Alternatively, you can toggle this setting by pressing “G” on your keyboard.
With this change, dimensions can now be placed in any direction, allowing accurate measurements parallel to slanted walls or other non-orthogonal elements.
