Issue Description
I accidentally created a copy of some of my project’s elements in the same location. I have made several changes since then so to undo is not an option. Is there a way to identify and delete these duplicate elements?
Solution
Archicad has a free Add on that can identify and delete duplicate elements. To do this:
- Download and install “Archicad Goodies”. Make sure to close all Archicad instances before installation.
- After successfully installing the add-on, open the Archicad Project.
- In Floor Plan View, select all Elements.
-
Go to Options > Check Duplicates > Delete… This option will select all duplicate elements only and not the original.
-
A pop up window will appear. Set to “in Current Selection”. The Number of Duplicates will now appear. To select these elements in the plan, click “Select”.
- After selecting the elements, you can then now manually delete them.
Note: The tool will only select duplicates that have exactly the same properties with it and on the same spot.
NOTE: Goodies are free add-ons developed by Graphisoft to complete Archicad with specific abilities and features. You can install all Goodies at once with the help of the Archicad 28 Goodies Suite installer. They are based on legacy code which Graphisoft does not support anymore. Feel free to use them but please be advised that they might not function properly and they will not be fixed or upgraded.
