Issue Description
Whenever I change the size of the column, it moves away from the Grid line. Why does this happen?
Solution
When resizing or adjusting the column, the shift typically occurs because of the column's anchor point. The anchor point, or reference point, determines where the element is "anchored" on the drawing grid, and any adjustments to the column size are made relative to this fixed point. If the anchor point is set off-center, resizing will cause the column to move away from its intended alignment on the grid.
To maintain a column’s alignment with the grid after adjustments, follow these steps to center the anchor point properly:
- Select the Column the go to Column Selection Settings.
- Go to the Column tab, then in the End Cuts and Reference Axis section, define the Reference Axis of Core. Set it to Middle Center. Click OK to confirm and apply changes.
With the Anchor point correctly centered, future adjustments to the column will keep it aligned with the grid, eliminating unintended shifts.
