Issue Description
In this scenario, individual walls in a project cannot be selected, which prevents performing specific functions like stretching a single wall segment. When attempting to select a wall, all other connected walls are selected simultaneously. How can single elements be selected without affecting other grouped elements?
Solution
This behavior often occurs because the elements are part of a "Group". In Archicad, grouping elements allows multiple elements to be selected and edited simultaneously, which can be helpful in many situations. However, when individual manipulation of a single element is needed, it’s essential to "Suspend" the grouping temporarily. Suspending the groups will enable you to work with single elements without modifying the grouping structure. There are several ways to suspend groups in Archicad:
- Go to Edit > Groups > Ungroup.
- Alternatively, the Groups menu is also available on the Standard Toolbar. You can directly click on the “Suspend Groups” icon to quickly enable or disable grouping, which provides a more convenient option during editing.
