Issue Description
Walls that sit overhead are missing from the plan. How do I show where they sit?
Solution
In Archicad, walls that sit overhead (above the Floor plan Cutting plane) don’t automatically display unless specific settings or graphical overrides are applied. To indicate their position, you can use one of the following methods:
1. Adjust Floor Plan Display Settings
- Select the wall(s).
- Open Settings > Floor Plan and Section panel.
- Under Floor Plan Display, choose Outlines Only or Overhead Lines.
This will show the wall as a dashed line or outline in the floor plan, depending on the pen and line type settings.
2. Adjust the Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings
Go to View > Floor Plan Cut Plane.
- Adjust the height of the cutting plane or the Relative to Home Story settings to ensure the overhead walls are visible.
OR
- Change the Show up to Offset distance value under the Relative Floor Plan Range settings.
