Where do I find and how do I add the Archicad standard library?
Solution
To load the Archicad standard library, follow these steps:
1. Open the Library Manager
- Go to the File menu.
- Select Libraries and Objects > Library Manager.
2. Load your library files.
For Archicad 28 and later:
Archicad 28 and later versions use the Global Library, which uses LibPack technology. You need to load .libpack files from different categories to the Library Manager (eg. there is one .libpack for Doors, and a separate .libpack for Annotations).
- In the Library Manager, click the Add... button.
- Navigate to the location of the Archicad standard library on your computer. The default location is:

C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD <Version>\Archicad Library Packages
- Mac:
/Applications/GRAPHISOFT/ARCHICAD <Version>/Archicad Library Packages
- Windows:
- Select the .libpack file you want and click Choose/Add to load it.
For Archicad 27 and earlier:
You have to load the folders contatining the .lcf files to the Library Manager
- In the Library Manager, click the Add... button.
- Navigate to the location of the Archicad standard library on your computer. The default location is:
