Issue description
You want the stair to appear in a specific color on the floor plan, and you applied a Graphic Override to achieve this. However, even though the override is correctly set up, the stairs’ appearance does not change. Why is the Graphic Override not affecting the stairs’ display?
Solution
Stairs in Archicad are unique because they can be composed of various sub-components and materials. Due to this complex composition, Graphic Override settings based on Surface or Building Material criteria may not consistently apply to stairs as they do to simpler elements. This complexity can lead to unexpected results when using overrides intended for elements with more uniform materiality.
To effectively apply a Graphic Override to stairs, consider setting criteria that target a distinct and consistent attribute of the stairs, such as the Element ID.
