Issue Description
After an update or a reinstallation of Archicad, I get error messages regarding missing files.
Solution
If you're getting error messages about missing files after updating or reinstalling Archicad on your Mac, try the following steps to troubleshoot:
-
Check Disk Permissions:
- Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access.
- Ensure that Archicad and any related installation files have been added to the list here. If they aren’t listed, you can add them by dragging the installer into Full Disk Access.
-
Clear Cache and Preferences:
- Go to the Library folder, then navigate to Application Support > Graphisoft and delete any residual files related to the previous Archicad version.
- Clear any related caches in ~/Library/Caches if they’re linked to Archicad.
-
Re-download and Reinstall:
- Download the Archicad installer from the official Graphisoft website to ensure that it’s complete and uncorrupted.
- Follow the installation instructions closely, particularly if there’s a need to grant permissions to avoid file access issues.
