Description
You have created a multi-segment column. However, the segments are always centered on each other and cannot be constructed off-center. For example, the upper column segment should align flush on one side with the segment below it.
Solution
To offset the alignment of column segments in Archicad, follow these steps:
I. Create the new profiles and work with an offset from the profile origin
- Go to: Options > Element Attributes > Profile Manager.
- Create the desired profiles in the Profile Manager and align their hatch pattern at the appropriate, desired distance from the profile origin.
Profile 1
Profile 2
II. Set the profiles as a segments for the column
- Select the column, open Column Selection Settings > Segment > Structure.
- Add two segments to the structure and assign the newly created profiles to the respective column segments.
- Adjust each segment’s length and surface to achieve the desired result.
