Issue Description
I have created a furniture plan and want to ensure that the furniture and doors are set at appropriate distances from one another. Is there a way to automatically display this in Archicad?
Solution
Displaying the minimal space between objects is crucial when designing furniture plans in Archicad. To do this:
1:Access Model View Options:
In the Floor Plan View, navigate to Document > Model View > Model View Options.
2: Enable Minimal Space Display:
In the Model View Options dialog, under “Miscellaneous Settings for Library Parts,” check the box labeled "Minimal Space of Objects." This enables the display of minimal space around the objects, and you can adjust how this space is presented.
3: Modify Object Minimal Space Values:
To adjust the specific minimal space settings for an object:
- Select the object.
- Go to Object Selection Settings.
- In the Object Settings tab, find the "Minimal Space Settings" section. Click OK when done.
Note: Most default Archicad objects come with predefined minimal space settings. For custom or non-default library objects, this feature may not be available.
