Issue Description
You work with multiple programs and would like to align the shortcuts across them to create a more streamlined and efficient workflow. Currently, the different shortcut setups between the programs cause interruptions and inefficiencies as you switch between tools. You are seeking a way to unify these shortcuts to maintain consistency and speed up your design process across all platforms.
Solution
Personalizing shortcuts also helps you work more comfortably, aligning the software's functions with how you naturally interact with it, ultimately enhancing both productivity and user experience.
Customize shortcuts in Archicad.
-
Go to Options > Work Environment > Keyboard Shortcuts
-
Customize Shortcuts:
- You’ll see a list of all the available commands, to customize a shortcut:
- Click on a command you want to change or add a shortcut to.
- Click the Shortcut field and press the key combination you'd like to assign.
- If the shortcut is already assigned to another command, Archicad will notify you, and you can choose to override it or pick another combination.
3. Save Your Changes:
- Once you’re done, click OK or Apply to save your new shortcut configuration.
TIP: Export/Save Work Environment (Optional):
If you'd like to save your custom shortcuts as part of a work environment profile, go back to Options > Work Environment Profiles, select your custom profile, and export it for future use.
