During the installation of the CodeMeter driver as part of the Archicad 28, BIMcloud and License Manager Tool installations, Windows Explorer may crash, resulting in a black screen.
This issue does not cause any problems with your device or impact the installation process, which completes successfully. It may be encountered only during installation and does not recur.
If you experience the issue, you can resolve it by restarting the computer or starting the Explorer from the Task Manager:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open the Task Manager.
- Go to File > Run new task and enter “explorer.exe”. Click OK.
