Issue Description
You have successfully created a custom Riser, but you're encountering difficulties positioning it correctly within your design. Despite adjustments, the riser does not align as expected in the intended location.
Solution
Using basic GDL (Geometric Description Language) commands, you can create an Offset parameter that allows you to precisely adjust and maneuver the tread into the correct position. This parameter will provide more control over the placement, helping you achieve accurate alignment of the custom riser.
1. Select the stair and go to File>Libraries and Object>Open Object
2. In the Parameters section for the riser add a new variable called gs_x
3. Now open the 3D tab for your riser. Add the following line addy gs_x
4. Check the script, if it comes back as OK....
5. Close the object to force a save
6. Select the riser and Edit. Now in the riser settings you will see your newly created variable that will allow you to move the riser into place.
