How can I properly show the break line on the railing?

How can I set the break mark of the railing at the same height as the stairs break line and hide the elements beyond it?

Solution:

1. Select the railing and open its Railing Selection Settings then check Use Break Mark Settings of Associated Stair under Break Mark Settings. By default, Rail is associated with Stair. Nevertheless, certain scenarios exist where this option is influenced by the way of creating the rail in relation to the stair model.

1. To hide the upper portion of the railings, go to Documents > Model View > Model View Options > Detail Level of Stair and Railing Symbols change everything to Visible Parts Only under the Railing Symbol tab.
