Description
Doors integrated into the Curtain Wall appear unaffected by the Model View Option Settings setup to only show the opening on the reflected ceiling plans. How can I set them to be hidden?
Solution
Doors integrated into Curtain Walls are considered “Panels” within Archicad, which means they don’t behave like standard doors when it comes to visibility settings. To hide them in your reflected ceiling plan, follow these steps:
- Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options > Ceiling Plan
- Under the Curtain Wall Options tab, uncheck the Panel option. This tells Archicad to hide the panels (which include doors) within the Curtain Wall in the ceiling plan view.
- Ensure that other Curtain Wall components, such as Frames, Junctions and Accessories, are set to Full. This will keep these elements visible, maintaining the integrity of the ceiling plan’s structure while hiding the door panels.
- Select the Curtain Wall on plan and open its Curtain Wall Selection Settings. On the Floor Plan Display under Floor Plan and Section tab, Select “Projected with Overhead. Afterwards, set the Projection Mode to “Hybrid” then modify the display mode for visible components:
- Overhead Components: Symbolic
- Cut Components: Projected
- Uncut Components: Projected
