Description
When switching to 3D view, Zones do not appear despite using the Marquee tool. What could be the underlying cause of this issue?
Solution
Several factors might contribute to Zones not displaying in the 3D view:
- Filter and Cut Elements in 3D Settings:
Ensure that Zones are selected in the "Filter and Cut Elements in 3D" settings. To do this, navigate to View > Elements in 3D View > Filter and Cut Elements in 3D. Verify that "Zone" is checked under "Element Types to Show in 3D." - Layer Visibility:
Confirm that the layer containing the Zones is visible in the current Layer Combination. If the layer is turned off, the Zones will not appear in the 3D view. - Graphic Overrides:
Zones may be affected by Graphic Overrides. Disable any Graphic Overrides to determine if they are causing the issue. - Renovation Filter:
If multiple renovation filters are used, ensure that the Zones you wish to display are included in the active renovation filter. - Design Options:
Since the introduction of Design Options in Archicad AC26, ensure that all Design Options are shown. This will help ascertain if the Design Options are influencing the visibility of Zones.
By systematically checking these settings, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue preventing Zones from appearing in your 3D view.
