Issue description
I have created a Zone for the Master Bedroom and I want its name to be displayed in two lines using the Zone Stamp. I cannot find any hotspot for this stamp to toggle the width. How can I adjust the stamp width?
Solution
Zone Stamps have built-in settings in the Zone Selection Settings that allow you to assign the width of the stamp.
To do this:
- Select the Zone, then go to Zone Selection Settings.
- Under the Settings tab, go to Appearance (scale of your Viewpoint if it isn’t uniform).
- Check Fixed Width then adjust the value manually. It is best to keep the Zone Stamp tab open so you can have a preview of the width adjustment. Click OK when done.
Alternatively, there is a quick fix to achieve a similar result by changing the name of the Zone manually and adding a programming code “\n” between the two words. This way, the Zone’s name should now look like this: “MASTER\nBEDROOM”. This will automatically move the word “BEDROOM” to the second line.
As long as you only want to display the Zone name, this quick fix can work, but note that with this method:
- When you create a Schedule that includes Zone name, it will also include the “\n” code.
- If you intend to put additional content, like Measured Area, it will overlap with the second line. Also, the width of the Zone Stamp will still adjust based on the content, so it may expand depending on the text’s length.
