Description
I’ve saved an orientation and zoom in the View Map for the plans but whenever I switch to another plan and then return to the original one, the rotation resets to zero degrees. The same thing happens when I place the View Map on the layout; it reverts to the original orientation. What could be causing this phenomenon?
Solution
The situation/difference in rotation occurs because the zoom and rotation settings for the view are being ignored. To resolve this, follow these steps:
- Select the View and go to View Settings.
- Under 2D/3D Documents, uncheck Ignore zoom and rotation when opening this view then click OK.
If this box is checked, then whenever you open this view, it will be displayed using the zoom value of the last opened Archicad window (not the saved zoom of this view). However, the saved zoom level of this view will still be applied when you place this view as a Drawing, or publish it.
By simply disabling this setting, you can ensure your view orientations remain consistent every time you access them, whether in the View Map or on the layout.
