Description
You have multiple Interior Elevation Views and placing them neatly on a Layout sheet can be time-consuming. Is there a way to automatically arrange these drawings as you drag them into the layout, streamlining the process, if these views don’t fit onto a single sheet, is there a way to create a new sheet automatically when the layout is full?
Solution
You can automatically arrange drawings in Archicad's layout through the Master Layout Settings. Here's a step-by-step guide to achieving this:
Access Master Layout Settings:
- Before dragging the views into the layout, navigate to the Master Layout Settings of your sheet.
Enable Auto Arrangement:
- In the Master Layout Settings, select Auto Arrange New Drawings and then click Setup Arrangement.
Customize Auto Arrangement Settings:
- Within the Auto Arrange Setup window, you can modify the direction in which the drawings are placed and adjust the sequence settings.
- You can also specify the preferred distances from the sheet's margins and the gaps between the drawings.
- Check the option Create New When Layout is Full to ensure a new sheet is automatically created if the current one is full.
Apply and Arrange:
- Click OK to save your settings. You can now drag your views into the layout, and they will automatically be arranged according to the settings you have specified.
This method makes it much easier to organize your drawings on the layout sheet. It’s a simple way to ensure your views are presented just the way you want, without the hassle of manual adjustments.
