Issue Description
You hold down the Shift key (windows) or Caps Lock (mac) to fix the direction of the cursor when creating an element or line. However, instead of locking to 90 or 180 degree angles, the cursor rotates at angles which you cannot edit, making it difficult to achieve the desired alignment.
Solution
The issue is connected to the Snap Grid settings. Here is how to correct it:
1. Open the settings of the Snap to Grid command.
2. Change the settings from Snap to Construction Grid to Snap to Snap Grid.
OR
3. Change the settings from Rotated Grid to Orthogonal.
Test by holding down the Shift (windows) or Caps Lock (mac) key again to confirm that the cursor now locks to the 90-degree or 180-degree angles as intended.
TIP: You can also set the rotation of your Construction Grid to custom angles. You can read more in this article.
