Description:
The 3D view of the Doors in the schedule doesn't fit within the cell. Since I can't adjust the cell size due to a fixed layout, the only option is to resize the 3D view to fit the cell. How can I adjust the scale of my 3D view?
Solution:
There are two options when rescaling the size of the 3D View in a Schedule.
- Rescale to Fit. This option allows Archicad to fit each 3D view precisely into the cell. Each 3D view will have a different scale, which might cause confusion if the dimensions are not indicated, as the reader might perceive all views as being the same size. The main advantage of this option is that it ensures a visually appealing presentation.
- Rescale to a Fixed Scale. With this option, all 3D views are resized using the same scale. This approach maintains scale accuracy, which is beneficial for comparison purposes. However, if one door is significantly larger than another, it might negatively impact the presentation.
To do this:
- Go to Schedule
- Select a 3D View > Scale tab
- Select any of the two options (To fit or Fixed Scale) or you can manually change it to a custom scale.
Adjusting the size of your 3D views in the Door Schedule ensures that your presentation is both accurate and visually appealing. By choosing the right scaling option, you can make sure your schedule looks professional and clear, making it easier for everyone to understand the dimensions and details of your doors. Follow these simple steps to enhance the clarity and quality of your Archicad schedules.
