Issue description
You have created a new Surface Texture with the Basic Render settings, but the material is missing or wrong when you render the view.

Rendered with the Cineware by Maxon:
Solution
The surface texture can vary significantly depending on whether you use Basic Engine, Hardware Acceleration, or Cineware by Maxon.
Set the engine to Cineware by Maxon, and at the bottom of the dialog box, you can match the settings with those from the Internal Basic Engine.
The material sample will then be updated, and any Cineware renders will now show the correct material.
