Description
I want to show a Double Door on a curved Curtain Wall Panel, however there is a limitation as I can’t delete the central frame to merge the two panels before inserting the Double Door. I had to create two-single swing doors as a workaround however, I could not get the right door to hang on the right side.
Solution
- In the 3D View, go to Edit Mode then select the panels to be converted to a Double Door. Note: On a curved Panel System, merging two-panels to create a Double Door is a limited as panels have different angle values. Since the Curtain Wall is segmented along the curve, the frame can't be eliminated. It is only possible to delete a frame between two segments that are at the same plane. As a workaround, 2 panels should be converted to a single swing door then adjust the swing accordingly to achieve the correct graphical representation on the plan.
- Select two Panels and delete the Mullion that separates the two then open the Curtain Wall - Panel Selection Settings. On the Custom Panel Type and Geometry, select CW Door 27 to convert the panel to a door. To correct the graphical representation, select the right door then open Curtain Wall - Panel Selection Settings again then under Door Settings and Opening.. set the Opening Type to Side Hung Mirrored. Click OK to close the Curtain Wall Settings.
