Description
I want to create personalized Panels that will serve as a ceiling grid using a Curtain Wall Tool. Everything is good except that if I added Custom Panels, it won’t show the custom cutouts.
Solution
- Create your custom Panel shape using Fill, Line or Arc Tools then click the Slab Tool, trace the shape using Marquee tool.
- Open the Slab Selection Settings to edit the element according to your design.
- On the Slab Selection Settings prompt, select Structure: Basic Composite to adjust the thickness then set the Classifications to Curtain Wall Panel.
- In the 3D View, Right-click on the Slab then select Convert Selection to Morph then select the element, click File > Libraries and Objects > Save Selection as > Curtain Wall Panel. Name the custom panel then click Save.
- To incorporate the newly created Panel into the Curtain Wall system, Select the Curtain Wall on the Toolbar pane then open the Curtain Wall Selection Settings. On the Curtain Wall System, adjust the parameters below accordingly. Click the Scheme to add another Rows or Columns to fit your newly created Panel. Lastly, click on Panels then select Distinct Panel. On the Distinct Panel Type and Geometry, find the CW Custom Panel 27 then double-click to select. Click OK to close.
- You can also adjust the Panels in the Edit Mode.
