Description
There are instances where the Drawing unit values do not reflect the unit as displayed on the Schedule View for unexpected reasons. For example, the Schedule values display the correct unit as feet & decimal inches, but the Drawing is set to meters and millimeters.
Solution
This can happen, for example, when working on various projects that have different Working Units preferences. This is how to set up your project preferences so that values in Schedules and placed Drawings share the same units:
- Go to Options > Project Preferences.
On the Project Preferences prompt, set the Unit to feet & decimal inches and click OK.
Go back to your Layout, right click on the Drawing and click Modify source View Settings.
Set the Dimensioning to feet & decimal inches.
Click OK.
Note: This method could affect other Views that are properly arranged with a template so please keep an eye out.
On the Layout, right click on the Drawing and select Update to reflect the changes as preferred.
