Upon attempting to import a customized image from an external source into your Surface Library, you may notice that the file type and the image size changes for unknown reasons. What is happening?
Solution
In the Load Image from Library prompt, search for any surface that may contain the same file name as the surface being loaded. If in case there are, make sure to rename the newly created images upon loading to prevent overriding with existing images.
In the image above, there are several images in the Libraries that contain the name “Siding - Barn Red b” in different formats. If you try to add “siding - Barn Red b” regardless of the image format, it will disregard the addition and the program will still keep the first loaded image.
