Description:
I have a newly installed Archicad on one of my workstations. I tried joining a Teamwork project which has been published in the same office but I failed to do so. What could be the reason?
Solution:
One of the requirements in joining a Teamwork project is to have the same Archicad Version and Build number.
To check for the Version and Build number of your Archicad, navigate to Help > About Archicad.
There is a threshold difference of 50 so in case that the difference between the builds doesn't reach higher than 50, they will be able to collaborate with each other.
For example, if the teamwork project is using Archicad 26 5002, and your Archicad is 26 3001, a pop-up error will appear, same as above, which says that the build number of your AC is lower than the Project on the server.
To download the correct build number, you can go to Archicad Download page and install the appropriate build number.
For successful collaboration in Archicad teamwork projects, ensure your software's version and build number are within 50 builds of the project's server version. Check your build number via Help > About Archicad and update if necessary to match the project's build. Keeping your software versions aligned will streamline your project participation and teamwork.
