Issue Description
While working on a Teamwork project in Archicad, you tried to reserve an element or used the Reserve All command. Instead of successfully reserving the objects, you receive a window message indicating a Conflict with other objects.
Solution
The issue can occur if two users try to reserve the same elements at the same time, or if you are trying to reserve elements that are currently reserved by other users, since Archicad's Teamwork environment prevents conflicts by allowing only one user to reserve the objects at a time.
Here are some ways in which you can resolve a reservation conflict:
1. Request the element.
In the Last Reservation Results Window. You can select the Story where the elements are located and then click on the Request button. The user will then receive a message in the Teamwork palette that will allow them to release the elements.
2. Team uses Release all.
If requesting the elements did not resolve the issue, you can ask all users in the project to use the command Release All in the Teamwork palette.
3. Users leave project.
1. Ask the other users to Leave the Teamwork project and rejoin it, as this will release their reservations. You can do so from Teamwork > Project > Open/Join Teamwork Project....
2. In cases where it is not possible to request the elements from a user because they are away or not a part of the team anymore you can use the Force leave option.
Note: This command should be used carefully because kicking out a user from a project, will then result in losing any changes that were not sent by them.
4. Delete local teamwork data.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, then it is recommended to delete your Local Teamwork Data. Doing this periodically will prevent file corruptions or bugs.
- Go to Teamwork > Project > Local Data Manager.
- From the list, select the Project that is presenting the issue.
- Click Delete at the bottom of the dialog box.
- The selected project or library copy is deleted from your Local Data Folder.
- Rejoin the Teamwork project and attempt to reserve the elements again.
If the issue persists.
- Ensure that your team and you are using the latest version of Archicad. Software updates often include bug fixes that can resolve issues like this. You verify this in Help > Check for Updates...
- Contact Technical support by creating a request on our Support Website. You can help investigate the issue by including a Support Package and (in cases of on-premises BIMcloud server) BIMcloud logs.
