Issue Description
A path or road, created for example with the Slab Tool, needs to be visible on the surface of a terrain and should follow the terrain's contours.
Solution
Create an Intersection Between the Road and the Terrain Using SEO (Solid Element Operations):
- Go to Design > Solid Element Operations.
To ensure the slab and the terrain intersect correctly, use the Solid Element Operations feature.
- Define the path/road (slab) as the Target element.
- Define the terrain (mesh) as the Operator element.
- Select the operation Intersection.
- Set the New Surface Material for the target to Inherit Attributes of the Target.
Subtract the Intersection of the Terrain Using SEO:
Next, perform another Solid Element Operation.
- Define the path/road (slab) as the Operator element.
- Define the terrain (mesh) as the Target element.
- Select the operation Subtraction with Upward Extrusion.
- Set the New Surface Material for the target to Inherit from Operator.
As a result, the path/road will be correctly displayed on the terrain's surface, and the surface texture will follow the terrain's contour.
