Where can I store specification notes in my project

You have numerous specifications you want to incorporate into your project. Ideally, you want to place these specifications as plain text and labels. To efficiently manage these specifications, they should be handled centrally, allowing for easy updates as the project progresses.

Solution 

Using the Project Info in Archicad allows you to manage and document essential details about your project efficiently. Here’s how to access and use the Project Info feature:

To access Project Info:

1. Go to File > Info > Project Info.

Entering project data and populating customizable fields:

1. In the Project Info dialog box, you’ll see various fields, these fields allow you to enter details about the project, such as the project name, location, client information, and more.
2. You can customize the information fields by adding, renaming, or deleting them according to your project needs.

3. Click the Add or Remove buttons to manage the fields.

   

4. Fill in the relevant information in the provided fields. This information can include general project details, building specifications, and contact information for stakeholders.
5. Ensure entries are complete for accuracy in documentation.

Using Project Info in documentation:

1. The details entered in the Project Info can be automatically inserted into your project’s documentation as Text and Labels.  For Text use the Auto Text function.

   

2. For Labels use the Auto Text option and populate the labels as above.

Managing Changes:

Keep the Project Info updated as your project progresses. This ensures that all project details and documentation remain accurate.
