Issue Description
You have been asked to Create a smooth and engaging walkthrough in Archicad to offer your client a realistic experience of touring your design.
Solution
Creating a camera path in Archicad allows you to produce dynamic walkthroughs and flyovers, enhancing your project's presentation by showing how spaces flow and interact in a realistic manner.
1: Set Up the Initial Camera
- Activate the Camera Tool: In the Toolbox, select the Camera tool.
- Click on Create new Camera Path, name the path and click OK.
Place the First Camera: Left hand click on the floor plan where you would like the camera positioned and then do a second left click to place the focal point/direction of the camera. Adjust the height and angle as needed to frame the initial view.
Create the Camera Path
- Define the Path: Click to place additional cameras along the desired path. Ensure that the cameras are placed at equal intervals for smoother transitions, and the focal points are all in the same place
Adjust Camera Properties
- Height and Angle: After placing each camera, adjust its height and angle to maintain a consistent view.
- Smooth Turns: Avoid sharp turns by spacing cameras more closely together in areas where the path changes direction. Click and drag the control points to smooth out any abrupt changes in direction. Aim for a gentle, flowing path that enhances the viewing experience.
Test the Path
- Use the Play option in the Camera tool palette to preview the camera movement. Make further adjustments to camera positions and angles if needed.
