Issue Description
Dimension texts in Archicad remain horizontally oriented regardless of the rotation of the project viewpoint or individual views.
Solution
Here are a few things to look out for if your dimension texts do not follow View rotation:
1. Dimension texts always appear horizontal
This setting can be toggled in the Dimension Selection Settings. Follow these steps to adjust it:
- Navigate to: Dimension Selection Settings > Text Style > Horizontal Text.
Note: This option is only available if the option Inside the Line is activated.
2. Check general Text orientation
The orientation of dimension texts is not solely defined by the Dimension Tool. Dimension texts have their own additional settings. Here's how to manage them:
- Enable Always Readable Function: This option ensures that the text is always oriented for readability from the right or from below.
- Manual Text Orientation: You can manually set the text orientation using angle specifications. If the text is set to be readable from the left and the Horizontal Text option under step 1 is enabled, the text will switch to be readable from the right.
- Revert to Automatic Position: Clicking this button will reset all manual adjustments, aligning the text orientation based on the dimension line’s direction.
