Issue Description
You've encountered precision issues or malfunctions, and it has been attributed to your project being situated a considerable distance from the Archicad Project Origin.
Solution
Moving an entire project in Archicad can be necessary for several reasons, such as aligning your model closer to the origin to avoid precision issues or integrating with other models. Archicad provides tools to move all elements of your project together efficiently. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to move a whole project in one go:
- Select All in 3D View:
- Switch to a 3D view to ensure all objects, including those not visible in 2D views, are selected.
- Use the same shortcut Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all elements in the 3D view.
4. Move the Selected Elements
With all elements selected, you can now move them together to a new location.
- Activate the Move Tool:
- Go to the Edit menu and select Move>Drag or use the Move tool from the toolbar.
- Alternatively, use the shortcut Ctrl+D (Windows) or Cmd+D (Mac).
- Choose a Reference Point:
- Click to define a reference point for the move. This is usually a point on your model that you can easily align or position relative to the new location.
- Drag to the New Location:
- Move your cursor to the desired new position or enter precise coordinates in the Tracker (the dynamic input box that appears near your cursor).
- Click again to place the model in the new location.
