How do you manage the skin end lines in composite walls? This action would provide solutions for handling junctions and openings.
Solution
Archicad provides several tools and options to manage how the individual layers (or skins) of a composite are displayed and how they terminate at different points such as at junctions, openings, and ends of walls. Here’s how you can manage and control these skin end lines.
Composite Settings
-
Open the Composites dialog Options> Element Attributes > Composites...
-
Select the composite you want to modify.
-
Adjust the settings for the line pen or simply turn it off.
Wall End Tool
-
Use the Wall End Tool (Document > Model Tools > Wall End) to customize the appearance of wall ends.
-
This tool allows you to add end caps to walls and define how each skin terminates, either by adjusting the individual skin end lines or by applying a custom profile to the end of the wall.
TIPS
- Regularly check your composite settings and material intersection priorities to ensure they align with your project’s detailing requirements.
- Experiment with the Wall End Tool and Junction Settings to achieve the desired look and functionality for your wall skins.
- Use Complex profiles for more complex wall terminations to get precise control over skin ends.
